Meet Our Chef

Chef Jerry Ayala is a passionate culinary innovator with over a decade of experience leading high-performing kitchens in luxury hotels and internationally acclaimed restaurants. As Executive Chef of The Kester, Jerry brings creative vision, operational excellence, and deep cultural inspiration to South Florida's vibrant dining scene.

A proud Puerto Rican-American, Jerry's love for cooking was born in his grandmother's kitchen, where tradition, storytelling, and shared meals formed the heart of every family gathering. That early passion laid the foundation for a career defined by discipline, creativity, and an unwavering commitment to hospitality.

Jerry's resume includes some of the most prestigious names in the industry. He was part of the opening team as Chef de Cuisine at Nobu, where he helped bring the globally renowned brand to life in Palm Beach. 

He also held leadership roles with Groot Hospitality, serving as Chef de Cuisine in both Miami and Dallas. He also served as Sous Chef at Zuma, one of the world's most respected Japanese restaurant groups, and COMO Hotels & Resorts. 

Jerry is known for his hands-on leadership, team mentorship, and ability to translate bold flavors into memorable guest experiences. As Executive Chef of The Kester, he's poised to help shape the culinary identity for one of the Gold Coast's most anticipated new dining destinations.
