About The Kester

William L. Kester came to Pompano in 1923 for fishing, but he stayed and became a major force in the city's economic and social development. Paying homage, The Kester caters to those seeking a sense of adventure-and sense of place-at every meal.

The menu is a dynamic reflection of seasonal availability, showcasing heritage ingredients and lesser-known Florida produce. Small plates, hearty entrees, and shareable sides explore America's diverse regional culinary landscape. From the Kester Ceviche to a Smoked Bone-In Pork Chop with Chipotle Corn Salsa and Foxtail Coffee Sundae, The Kester is simultaneously exciting and familiar.

The bar, too, aims to surprise and delight. A palm front and pineapple slice steal the show in a Green Tea Matcha Highball, while dried citrus wheels elegantly complement fresh takes on classics like The Kester Margarita and Sticky Old-Fashioned. A curated selection of beers, wines, and spirit-free options are an invitation for everyone to savor the moment.
